Why you should choose an Authentic Gucci Bag

Why you should choose an Authentic Gucci Bag

by Sakuragicho
Genuine purses and handbags from Gucci are very stylish.

Women who know what’s hot and who like designer bags and sunglasses seek these Gucci bags.

Designer handbags, such as Gucci handbags, represent a status of wealth and style for many women

Savvy women also know that these bags hold their value, and so make for good investments.

There isn’t any shortage of knock-off designer bags in the market today.

Women are spending hundreds of dollars buying these replica purses since they can’t afford real ones that tend to cost thousands of dollars.

For many consumers, a knock-off designer purse is a decent substitute to an original.

Many of the knock offs look almost like the genuine bags and are quite well made.

But if you already own a real brand name purse, you’ll be able to spot the difference pretty easily.

Knock-off purses and other designer knock-offs can be very well-made.

Consumers are generally very happy with their designer knock-offs since they can look identical to the real deal and can last for quite a long time.

If you put an authentic designer bag alongside a well-made knock-off, the genuine purse will be easy to identify.

So what makes original ones a much better buy than the fake ones?

Genuine designer purses are original creations of the designer.

In the world of fashion, owning an original item is tantamount to having superior style and the height of sophistication.

In the fashion world, an original design is seen as art.

What would you rather have — a Van Gogh print or the original to display in your living room?

Genuine handbags are limited items, and because of this they are sought after by collectors

Despite the abundance of quality imitation bags, it is often money better spent when choosing an original over a replica.

While a knock-off handbag may be built to last, it is still a mere shadow of the branded real version when you consider quality.

In addition, so many people can tell a fake handbag with just one glance.

Even women who don’t know a lot about fashion can tell the difference between a knock-off and a genuine designer piece.

If you carry a genuine designer purse, you will be amazed at the jealous looks you get from people who know the value of a real designer handbag

It might just be women’s intuition, but a vast number of the female sex instinctively can tell a real from a fake handbag.

If you are attuned to value, you will see the positive aspects of owning a genuine bag, which can hold its resale value over time.

There are stores, both online and offline, that sell nothing but used knockoff Gucci handbags as well as other designer handbags.

But even a used authentic purse can command a price much higher than its knock-off counterpart.

For many women, owning a genuine version, even though it’s used, is still much better than owning a knock-off.

Tips for Natural Looking Makeup

Tips for Natural Looking Makeup

by Amy Nutt
We’ve all seen women who just plaster their makeup on, looking more like a mannequin than an actual person. If you would rather have a natural beauty, you don`t need to go completely bare, it`s all in how you choose and apply your makeup. Here you`ll learn a few tips to keep your face glowing and lovely without resorting to heavy handed techniques. The trick is to keep it light and to highlight just one area of your face, your eyes or your mouth.

Coverage

When it comes to concealer and foundation, many women tend to cake it on in an attempt to hide blemishes. That tends to result in the cracked face issues that occur a little later in the day. By using the following tips, you can make your face look natural while still covering up those spots and blemishes.

- Opt for tinted moisturizer, it blends and evens out the skin while moisturizing and is so thin that it`s literally unnoticeable. - For heavier coverage, use concealer chosen to blend with your skin to dot over spots and then finish the face with a tinted moisturizer for a lighter look. - Concealers with yellow undertones tend to hide blemishes best.

Eyes

Your eyes are one of the first things people notice, so the last thing you want is for them to focus on how much makeup you`re using! - For long lashes, consider using clear mascara to give them volume without adding too much. - Use foundation lightly applied to your lids for a natural boost. This also brightens the eyes and lays an even foundation for any shadow you wish to apply. - Choose eye shadows that enhance your eye color, blue or green eyes look smoking with pink or brown shadows and brown eyes work well with darker plum shades. - When using eyeliner, stay away from black and unnatural shades. Opt for brown or charcoal grey instead and blend slightly to create a natural line.

Lips

Lips don`t have to be bright to be noticeable. If you want your mouth to stand out, but still aim to looknatural make up, leave your eyes simple and focus the color on your mouth.

- Avoid glittery or super glossy lipstick, which looks very made up. - To choose the appropriate color, bite your lips gently to see what color comes up. Match the lipstick color to this. - Make your color last longer with a clear lip gloss to set it. - For days when you want your eyes to be the focus, stick to just a transparent gloss for your lips and let your natural color shine.

Cheeks

Blush should give the impression that you`ve just jogged half a mile, with a natural glow spreading over the cheekbones. Be sure you choose the right colors and don`t overdo it, the attention should be drawn to your eyes or lips, not your cheekbones.

- Check your cheek color after a bit of exercise to choose the right blush. Alternatively, you can just pinch them to bring up the color, but this won`t tell you where the blush should be applied. - Apply blush in the same areas that you naturally color when exercising for a truly natural looking makeup. - Keep it light. You just want a dusting of color, nothing too obvious.

Natural looking makeup lets you look your best without making it appear that you`ve had help. People will be impressed at how fresh your face looks. Even with a very little amount of makeup, you`ll feel beautiful and ready to face the world.

Fashion And Function: Contact Lenses With Attitude

by Amy Nutt
For years contact lenses were designed with only function in mind. Anyone with vision problems who didn’t want to wear glasses could consult their eye care professional and make the change. Contact lenses were an unnoticeable and convenient way to correct vision.

Now even people with 20/20 vision are lining up for contact lenses. Why?

The latest, greatest fashion trend: colored contact lenses.

What Are Colored Contact Lenses? Colored contact lenses have a tint, color or design embedded right on the contact lens itself. The center portion that fits over your pupil remains clear to allow your vision to be unimpeded. The tints can enhance your natural eye color, completely change your eye color or for a really wild look, imprint crazy designs or logos right on the iris.

For example: you could have blue eyes one day, brown eyes the next and cat eyes on the weekend. They are versatile, flexible and fun!

When buying colored contact lenses there are two main categories of contact lenses to choose from: Enhancer Contact Lenses and Opaque Contact Lenses.

What Is The Difference Between Enhancer and Opaque Colored Contact Lenses? Enhancer colored contact lenses use translucent tints that allow certain wavelengths of light to pass through while absorbing others. This results in a vivid enhancement of your natural eye color. It can also change the way the iris looks underneath making your eyes clearly stand out.

Enhancer colored contact lenses cannot change your eye color; only enhance what you already have. They work particularly well for people with green, blue or light colored eyes, creating dramatic and intense looks.

Opaque colored contact lenses use opaque tints that completely mask your underlying iris. No light can pass through the opaque tint, which means your natural eye color is no longer visible. Regular opaque lenses are carefully designed to mimic the natural look of the eye while completely altering eye color. You can go from brown-eyes to green, blue-eyes to purple, there is no limit to the color changes available.

Natural looking opaque contact lenses are also used for cosmetic purposes to cover up any eye disfigurements a person has that would usually be visible. For a more fun appearance you can use costume or theatrical lenses. These opaque colored contact lenses are used all the time to create special effects in the movies and for Halloween. Special effects lenses can turn you from human to vampire, give you alien eyes, or allow you to have your favorite logo visible in your eye. They can also be ordered with customized iris flecks for a unique appearance.

There is also a new development in colored contact lenses designed especially for the sports enthusiast. They have what are called light-filtering tints. These tints enhance the visibility of certain colors for the wearer and enable them to more easily see objects such as tennis balls. The tints effectively separate the object from the background giving you an advantage during play. There are a number of light-filtering contact lenses being designed for a variety of sports.

Who Can Wear Colored Contact Lenses? Many colored contact lenses can be ordered in ‘plano’ form for people who do not need vision correction. There are also designs for people who require bifocal correction and for those with astigmatism.

For anyone wishing to use colored contact lenses you do require an appointment with an eye care professional and a prescription, even if you have 20/20 vision. Contact lenses need to be fitted properly to the curvature of your eye for a safe and comfortable fit.

The Benefits of Professional Salon Hair Care Products

The Benefits of Professional Salon Hair Care Products…

by Jennifer Summers

If you pride yourself on having clean and healthy looking hair, looking after your locks is a top priority. So using good shampoos, conditioners and hair care products on your hair is important. But when it comes to price and the quality of hair care products, how do you know which hair products to use?

Cheap hair products available from the average high street store might appear to be better value for money because of their lower cost, while professional salon hair care products often appear to be pricier, with the average salon hair products priced at $20/GBP10, and a similar size cheap hair care product costing $4/GBP2.

Comparing these prices it seems as if the high street products are better value at about a fifth of the price of salon professional hair care products, giving the impression that they are much better value for money, because you would be getting 5 times the amount of product as you would compared with professional salon hair products.

When you look more closely at the comparison between the effectiveness and the quality of high street hair products and salon hair products, does the comparison end up in the favour of cheap hair care products, or do the cheaper high street products turn out to be a false economy?

To find out whether the premium brand salon hair products provide better value for money in both the short and long term when compared to cheap high street hair care products, we decided to test them to find out the real truth about hair products, and whether the high street products are as good a deal as they initially appear.

We tested a 300ml bottle of shampoo from the high street and a 300ml salon professional shampoo. With the high street product a 50ml application is standard to clean hair where with the professional product a 10ml application was all that was required to clean the hair to the same standard.

The high street hair shampoo, using a 50ml application, provides 6 applications per 300ml bottle (approximately). The professional shampoo, using a 10ml application, provides around 30 applications per 300ml. Hence the high street shampoo worked out at $0.64c/GBP0.32p whilst the professional shampoo came in at $0.66c/GBP0.33p.

Summary: at first glance, cheaper high street hair products appear to be a better buy and provide value for money, but on closer scrutiny there is but a hair’s breadth of difference in the price of salon hair products, and cheap hair products. When you add the better quality and effectiveness of salon products into the equation, the salon products turn out to be much better value for money. Q? Why would you use anything other than the highest quality hair care products on your hair?

The Full-Figured Woman’s Dilemma: Finding Sexy Plus-Size Bras

The Full-Figured Woman’s Dilemma: Finding Sexy Plus-Size Bras

by Donna Gibson

You know you’ve got it all: a killer personality, a gorgeous wardrobe and the perfect, womanly physique. There’s only one problem when it comes to your bod: You often have a hard time finding yourself sexy, plus-size bras. So what exactly should you be looking for to ensure you find the perfect bra with the perfect fit?

One of the most important aspects of a bra is the cup. Make sure you know your correct cup size before embarking on any bra-fnding venture. Then, decide the type of cup that will work best for you. Full cups are very desirable for full-figured women because they give great coverage, provide ample support and often offer underwire. Other options include a demi-cup or soft cup. A demi-cup bra is quintessential if you like to wear shirts with a low, dipping neckline. Soft cups are great if you’d like to keep your natural shape.

You hear it all the time: Underwire is key! Unlike your fellow flat-chested friends, you have a lot more “lady lumps” to support and sometimes a regular old bra just won’t do. Underwire will cradle and lift your breasts with comfort and style. Underwires look fabulous under clothing as well. And wearing underwire doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice any sexiness. Try a lacy underwire in simple black, white or red. Another plus? Underwire will help create fantastic cleavage - as if you needed any help.

Another factor to consider: wider straps. What woman hasn’t experienced the discomfort of bulging, red bra strap marks? When a bra isn’t strong enough to support the twins, it will cause the straps to dig into your shoulders creating those unsightly marks. Get rid of the strain, back problems and ugly bra bulges by purchasing a bra with wider straps. Wider straps will support your breasts and help prevent you from experiencing back pain and other annoyances.

Decided you definitely need a new, sexy plus-size bra? Get out there and start shopping! Why not try a lacy number in rich, bold colors? Ignite your senses with a bra that looks — and feels - great against your skin. Lacy bras are impressive, because they both support the breasts and let some sexy skin show through the fabric.

So go ahead and toss out all your old, stretched-out, too-tight, too-small bras and purchase some new, sexy plus-size bras tailored specifically to your buxom bosom. Just make sure you feel comfortable, confident and sexy in your plus-size bras because comfort is especially important.

Looking fantastic in your twenties & 30’s

by Ariane Poole

20’s In your 20’s you can pretty much get away with practically anything make-up wise. This is the time to experiment with any of the catwalk looks. There are no strict rules to comply with. But you may want to get rid of the all over excesses that you sported in your teens. Like loads of glitter and a saturation of colour on eyes, cheeks and lips. Shimmer, glitter and sparkle still look great but decide a couple of areas to accent on the face not everywhere. As for colour, this is the time to play. You can be as daring or innocent as you want. The one thing that is an exact must every day is a sunscreen SPF 15 at least. Prevention is better than cure. Well shaped brows are a must. You may find your skin is not as oily as in your teens but you still have the occasional brake out and oily t-zone. Don’t be tempted to control excess shine with powder this is very ageing. Keep skin looking fresh by using a pre-base or one of the many mattifiers available. Dab on the t-zone either before of after foundation. Don’t pile on the foundation, it looks too heavy and ageing instead use a light weight balancing one. Apply only to the areas that need it. And for blemishes apply concealer after foundation. Lips should be glossy. Avoid heavy matte lipsticks these can may you look old before your time. Cheeks are fresh, use either a cream, gel or powder on the apples of your cheeks for modern flush.

Musts get into a good skin care routine have well groomed brows that suit your face shape - good tweezers use a sunscreen every day experiment lips gloss mascara Look to Celebs like Cameron Dias, Kate Hudson or J-Lo for inspiration.

30’s As you get into your 30’s life is getting much more hectic. You’ve experimented in your 20’s now you have an idea of what works for you and what doesn’t. Now you are likely to be juggling a career, relationships and a family you products that deliver results fast and last. If your skin is not looking as radiant as it used to, try a skin illuminating product neath or mixed with foundation. This will help take years off. You should also invest in a light defusing foundation and concealer (this hides dark circles and helps soften fine lines).

If you’ve over plucked your brows when you were younger fill them in using one of the many brow powders / kits around. When it comes to colour for the day time opt for easy to wear neutrals such as brown-pinks, soft plums, espresso browns and taupe shades. Mix shades that have a hint of sheen with matte colours for a modern textured feeling. For speed you may want to use a 2 in 1 or three in 1 for eyes, cheeks and lips. If so decide a wearable neutral shade, then finish off with a little gloss and mascara. In the evening you can still go wild with a touch of sparkle but use it sparingly. Run a glitter pencil or a metallic liner along the base of your tops lashes to make your eyes pop. For blush opt for cream to powder formulations these are easy to use and colours such as corals and pinks look youthful. Don’t be tempted to get rid of lip gloss too soon, heavy lip sticks tend to make you look old. If gloss are not for you then try a sheer colour wash lip stick. Finally forget powder all it will do is settle into the fine lines making appear more obvious instead use a shine absorbing sheet to eliminate excess shine especially on the t-zone.

Musts refine / define your look light defusing foundation cream to powder blush shine absorbing sheets 2 in 1 or three in 1 product skin illuminating lotion brow kit

Look to Celebs such as Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Aniston and Joely Richardson for inspiration.

Get Glamorous: Basic Makeup Tips and Tricks

by Blondie

Want to transform yourself from a plain Jane into a foxy femme? The simplest way to completely change your look is with the right makeup. You don?t have to be a pro! Just follow these basic, fun makeup tips and tricks and you?ll totally turn heads.

Start your makeup routine with a fresh face. Wash and exfoliate your skin to make sure it’s clean. Prepare yourself with a magnifying mirror and all the ideal tools - the right makeup brushes and first-rate products are essential. Then, prepare your canvas - your gorgeous face — like any artist would. Pick a foundation that matches your natural skin tone. Use it to even out your tone and mask imperfections like dark spots, red patches and unattractive under eye circles. The choice way to apply foundation? A synthetic sponge. Use the sponge to dab and dot the foundation all over the face (and don’t forget the eyelids!) and then blend, downward and outward. Excess product can be removed using the opposite side of the sponge. Whatever you do, skip your neck and chin area. Blend thoroughly, especially along the hairline and jawline, to avoid a serious makeup faux pas — the “makeup mask”.

Concealer is the next step to a fabulously flawless complexion. Ideally, concealer should be one or two shades lighter than your foundation. If you choose a shade that is too light, it will accentuate the dark patches on your face. Apply it in a small arc underneath the eyes and on the eyelids if necessary. Draw a criss-cross to conceal any redness. If you have a blemish, be sure to conceal on top of it, not the area around it. Then, make sure you dab or tap the makeup to blend it - don’t rub it! Rubbing from side to side will actually remove the concealer. Dust a layer of powder over your entire face to reduce shine and continue to do so throughout the day for a quick touch-up. If you want to add a little color to your cheeks, try some blush. Brush down and back along the cheekbone, in an angle towards the ear.

Next, focus on those beautiful eyes. Draw attention to them with the use of an eyelash curler, followed by a coat of mascara. Make sure to use an upward sweeping stroke to coat the upper lashes. For a breathtaking look, apply some eyeshadow. Keep in mind that the lightest color should cover almost the entire eyelid and a darker color should be used in the crease of the eyelid to add depth. But when it comes to eyeshadow, there are tons of gorgeous combinations that you can try! Experimenting with eyeshadow can be the most exciting part of completing a makeup look. After eyeshadow, consider adding eyeliner. From pencil to liquid liners, you are sure to find an eyeliner that you can work with and that looks great on you. Just be warned that using liquid liners requires a lot of patience and practice. Draw the line as close to your natural lashline as possible and follow your natural eye shape. The bigger the eye - the bigger the line. And if you wear contact lenses, apply your eyeliner only after you have inserted your lenses.

And who could forget the lips? Lipliner is a dynamite way to define lips. Try to line as close to your natural lip shape as you can. Then, apply a hot shade of lipstick using a lip brush, especially if you have a tiny mouth. If you don’t want a lot of color on your lips, stick with a yummy chapstick or shiny (but not sticky) gloss. Your lips will look kissably soft, pink and luscious.

Makeup is a super-easy, super-fun way to change up your look. After following these basic makeup tips and tricks, you can confidently go out into the night (or office, or on that dinner date)

What’s All The Talk About Natural Mineral Makeup

Posted under Style by lilmo on August 15th, 2008 7:47 am

What’s All The Talk About Natural Mineral Makeup

by Rachel Ray

As a cosmetologist, I wanted to share some of my findings and experience with you concerning natural mineral makeup.

Natural mineral makeup has been around a few years, but it seems the average person either hasn’t tried them, and many have never heard about them. Basically, they are various minerals crushed to a very fine powder and used as cosmetics. They are in a powdered type form.

They have been so popular for several reasons, long lasting and pure, great coverage and look natural, gentle and many are actually good for your skin promoting a clearing of skin conditions. Try different brands to find your favorites.

Personally, I am hypothyroid which means I have super dry skin, alligator skin. Doesn’t matter what type of skin care products, etc. I use, I have flaky skin. All my life, no matter what makeup I used, it would be completely absorbed (thus disappearing) after about only 2-3 hours of wearing it. I was also very nervous about mineral makeup because with having super dry skin I avoid powders of all kinds, plus I was worried about it making the flakiness look even worse. I was SO stunned when I first started using mineral makeup on my own skin. The first thing I noticed was after 12 hours of wear, it was still there! No makeup has done that in my entire life. The other thing I noticed was it did not look flaky at all, but very fresh and light. Another benefit of mineral makeup is truly it feels like you are not wearing any cosmetics at all.

I also have the challenge now of rosacea (extreme redness due to intense facial flushing). For those with that challenge, try to find a brand that offers a green based color corrector, either an undercover or top coat. Green cancels red, which is why it works on rosacea skin to cover the redness, yet be very gentle at the same time.

For any brand out there, here are some common tips. Less is more. Mineral makeup tends to be very concentrated and its common that new users will use way too much. You can always add more if needed. Try doing very light layers for coverage.

Invest in good quality brushes, they’ll pay off every time. Gently wash them regularly and let air dry for care.

If after using small amounts, with good quality brushes, things still don’t look right, or you’re not thrilled, next look at the possibility that you’re simply using the wrong shade. Sometimes it takes experimenting to find what shade is best for your skin. I found with Bare Esentuals, I wore a significantly darker foundation than I ever thought possible, yet it was the perfect shade for me. Be sure to moisturize your skin preferably about a half an hour before applying mineral makeup.

When finished applying, except mascara and lipstick, spritz a very fine mist of water on your face. This helps set the makeup and gives a fresh young looking appearance. Then finish with mascara and lipgloss or stick.

Experiment with the colors and applications. Blush can be used as eyeshadow and vice versa for example. You can also brush some on your lips with a gloss over top.

At first when applying eyeshadow, it will look stark and harsh. Don’t be concerned. Just take either a Qtip or clean applicator or brush and keep blending to soften it down. In most cases they come down to the perfect hue.

Ebay many times have great deals on trying different samplers of different brands and colors. You can have a blast trying. Many different companies also sell small samples very reasonably priced to try as well. Remember, a little goes a long way. Have fun trying this wonderful category of makeup.
