Horrific Stories of The Infamous Ouija Board

Thanks to Parker Brothers(game company), many young people have dabbled in the paranormal
and have experienced frightening results. Remember being a teenager and the mention of the
Ouija board provoked your curiosity. There is not much talk about the Ouija board today, but
I will never forget the stories of sheer terror, my friends shared with me as a result of using the
infamous Ouija board. Stories I have kept to myself, until now are revealed in this creepy
dark article.

I was watching Unexplained Mysteries late one night and the narrator was talking about the
movie, “The Entity”. The Entity(1981 horror movie) is a movie about paranormal phenomenon,
where alleged victim Carla Moran(fictional character) was attacked by a number of unseen forces.
The Unexplained Mysteries show delved into what took place in the home of this woman, who
claimed she was being attacked by mad crazed ghosts. Pictures were shown on the show where
spherical orbs were flying around the room and I noticed something in the pictures, that was not
discussed on the show!

Normally, Unexplained Mysteries does not miss a detail as crucial to a case, as this one! I am very
skeptical about these shows, but yet the pictures had some convincing photography. What caught
my eye and you could barely see the image in the bottom of the picture, was a Ouija board!
You actually see a part of the board in the photograph! How in the world could this slip the eyes
of the staff at Unexplained Mysteries! I’ve studied photographs of so-called paranormal phenomenon
and the ghostly pictures on the show, were the best I have seen yet.

The paranormal investigators were focused on the spherical orbs darting around the room, as the
woman held the deadly Ouija board on her lap. Fortunately, they did show a picture of the woman
with a deadly Ouija board, that proved she was not just laying around in bed and then being attacked
by angry ghosts. This woman was playing with fire and bringing paranormal investigators in to see
some out of this world ghostly activity.

I think it is hilarious for people to say there is violent paranormal activity in their house and overlook
the fact, they were reaching out to the dead through a Ouija board! Even in the movie “The Exorcist”,
a young girl is using a Ouija board and her mother never attributes an entity attacking her daughter,
as a result of playing with the Ouija board. The response to such ghostly attacks is cute little innocent
Regan(Exorcist girl) was sensitive to the spirit realm.

The lady who was photographed with orbs flying around the room was looked at, as paranormally
sensitive to the unseen. What makes my head spin with green pea soup vomiting from my earthly
soul, is no one has brought up the possibilities of the Ouija board opening doors to such violent
ghostly chaos. In the above instances of violent insane paranormal activity, no one ever mentions
or associates the Ouija board as being apart of the horrific equation.

I will never forget my relative Lance sharing with me his experience with a Ouija board. He stated that he
got in touch with a spirit, who was in hell and he use to be an Egyptian king. Another friend said he tried
to get rid of his Ouija board and it kept showing up in his bed room. Late one night, he took the Ouija
board and built a roaring fire in his backyard. He was told the only way to be rid of the board, was to burn
it! He threw the Ouija board into the fire and he said blood-curdling screams came forth from the board, as it was burning. Keep in mind, I was told all of these stories in the mid-1980’s when most of my
friends were using Ouija boards.

One girl was having a sleep over with a friend and they pulled out the Ouija board for some cheap thrills. The girls asked where this spirit was, they were conversing with and were stunned by the answer! The spirit told the girls it was in the front yard up in a tree with white hair and bright red eyes. The girls almost had a heart attack and they did not look out the window late at night to verify the spirit’s statement. This story was well-known throughout my high school back then and I was friends with one of the girls who lived in the house, but never questioned her about this creepy night with the Ouija board. As far as I know, they never touched the ouija board again!

My friend Bryan told me the scariest Ouija board story of them all! Bryan was addicted to the Ouija board and he tried to stop using it by hiding it in his closet. He said a violent force was speaking to him and telling him to bring the board out of the closet. He said this voice tormented him everyday and would not leave him alone. Being threatened by the board he would not speak any further about the subject. I do not know how he got rid of it or how he is doing mentally today. I have heard nothing but creepy and horrific stories about the Ouija board, which makes me believe there may be some truth to these eerie Ouija board stories.

We often turn to divination when we are troubled and yearn to know the outcome of a given situation. At these times some of us choose to read our horoscopes in the daily newspapers and hope for the best while others take it more seriously and use divinatory techniques such as the Tarot or the I-Ching. Conversely, difficult circumstances can be turned around for the better if the correct course of action is taken at the right time.

Please advise me about my future direction regarding my career.

What will be the outcome if I decide to…?

How should I proceed with respect to my personal life?

What action do I need to take to improve my situation?

These are just a few suggestions that will hopefully aid you in achieving your desired result.

You will also need to consider your immediate environment when working with a predictive technique. Every questioner should have his or her inner-sanctum. By this I mean a quiet room to work in. Avoid noise or possible interruptions as you will have to focus your thoughts in a calm manner. Try to keep the room simple so that it has minimal distractions that might otherwise catch your attention at the wrong time. Remember that the answer to your question could be the catalyst that changes your life for the better. Your preparations are therefore worth the effort. Avoid all stimulants such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs or even coffee prior to making your request. These will prevent you from reaching the balanced state that you require in order to reach inside yourself. Once you have received your answer please dwell on it for a while. If it makes no sense whatsoever then perhaps you should leave it and ask again when you are in a better frame of mind.

Finally, and I speak from personal experience, if you persist in asking the same question over and over you will receive a rebuke from whatever system you are working with. This reproach can take the most unusual form but you will know it if you get one. Be respectful.

The tarot has been a sense of mystery and fascination for hundreds of years. It has intrigued us with its enigmatic and compelling pictures and symbols. Where the tarot originated from nobody really knows, and no one really knows why it works, but we do know that there are people out there who can gain access to a deeper understanding of themselves and others through the images on the tarot cards.

A deck of tarot cards is composed of 78 individual cards, these are divided into two parts, the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. The major arcana is comprised of 22 carats, and the minor arcana is comprised of four suits made of 56 cards similar to a normal deck of playing cards. The Major Arcana symbolises the major events in our lives, such as our triumphs and tragedies, while the cards of the Minor Arcana symbolise the day-to-day aspects of our life.

It is not difficult to learn to read tarot cards, you do not have to be a psychic, medium, or clairvoyant to do this. All you have to do is look the cards and say what you see and feel. You need to make an intuitive connection with the cards, in particular with the symbols and pictures on them, tarot cards speak in a language of symbols, and the images actually talk to you. There are lots of books on the market that claim to teach you exactly what each of the symbols on the tarot cards mean. The Origins of the Ouija Board

Throughout history man has been obsessed with his mortality, fascinated by what lies beyond this life. The ouija board is probably the most famous tool used for communication with the dead, and it seems to have been around for centuries. In China there are records dating from 1,200 BC, claiming ouija instruments were frequently used in written communications with the dead, while 13th century Mongols were said to use a table and “rapping noises” for the same purpose. In 540 BC the Greek philosopher Pythagoras and his sect held frequent séances or circles at which ‘a mystic table, moving on wheels, moved towards signs. Pythagoras and his pupil supposedly interpreted the board’s actions to the audience, describing them as revelations from the unseen world. The results were compiled into an “Apocrypha” (meaning “those having been hidden away - a book of uncertain authorship.

Today’s ouija board was designed in Baltimore in 1892 by Elija J Bond and William Fuld, when the boards became popular for use in “parlour games”. It’s a refined version of one invented in 1853 by French spiritualist Monsieur Planchette. The earlier board was a large piece of paper with a two wheeled heartshaped wedge which had a pencil attached to one end. Today’s board is inscribed with numbers and letters, and the wedge is now called a “planchette”.

The layout of the ouija board varies slightly from country to country. The original and most popular layout places the “yes” at the top of the circle and the “no” at the bottom. The letters are placed in a circle starting with the letter A next to the word yes and continuing around until the letter Z ends up on the other side of the word “yes”. The ten numbers from one to zero are placed at the bottom next to the “no”. The ouija board usually requires a minimum of two people to operate it. It is very rare that one person has the power to operate the board.

ouija boards have become an iconic part of culture, and have featured in a number of books and films. Their roles vary from being a benign object to an evil entity. A more peculiar role of talking boards in literature stems from authors using the board to channel written works from the deceased:

~ Pearl Curren held public séances, and claimed her ouija board allowed her to communicate with the spirit of Patience Worth, resulting in Curren publishing a number of poems and prose.

~ Sylvia Plath’s poem “Dialogue over a Ouija Board” incorporates the text of one of the sessions she held with her husband using a ouija board.

~ Emily Hutchings claimed in 1917 she had communicated with Mark Twain, who dictated a book she wrote through the ouija board. Twain’s descendents halted publication of the book through the courts, which was later said to be so badly written it could not have been written by Twain - dead or alive.

~ James Merrill used messages he claimed he obtained from various deceased people while using a ouija board in his poetry “The Changing Light at Sandover”.

~ John Fuller worked with a spirit medium while researching his book “The Ghost of Flight 401″, which was about a flight which crashed into the Everglades en route to Miami. They claim they contacted the flight engineer through the board, and the information obtained was not known to either him or the medium.

~ Writer GK Chesterton used a ouija board to try and break a period of skepticism and depression. His experiments with the item launched his interest in the occult.

~ Bill Wilson, co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous used a ouija board to contact spirits. His wife claimed he would receive messages directly without using the board. For a while, his participation in AA was deeply affected by his involvement with the ouija board. Wilson claimed he received the twelve step method directly from a spirit without the board and wrote it down.

Although ouija boards are considered harmless toys to many people they are a force for evil, opening a door for demons and other malevolent entities to enter our world and create havoc or even destroy a person. The very thought of the potential power of a ouija board is thought to have a very negative effect upon a fragile mind. And that thought alone should be enough to warn us of their power - benign or otherwise.

The Aura - Yes, You Can See It Too - In Just A Few Minutes!

The human aura is a three-dimensional energy field that surrounds the bodies of all living-beings and things. It extends in all directions, normally in an elliptical shape around the body. The healthier you are, the further the aura will extend out from the body.

There was an era when many people were able to see auras. In paintings of Spiritual leaders like Christ and the Buddha, we often see golden haloes around their heads. These haloes are nothing but their auras. The artists and painters of that age were able to see the auras, and hence reproduced them in their artwork.

Seeing the aura has got nothing “paranormal” about it. It is very normal, and one of easiest things to learn. With some time, practice and perseverance, anyone can see auras to some degree.

Why do we need to see auras ? :
Learning to see the aura can reveal a lot about a person. The colors and intensity of the aura can tell us what the other person is thinking. Since the aura cannot be faked, the person’s true nature and intentions become clear as a mirror.

Someone has said that the aura is our spiritual signature. How true! A person with a radiant, clean aura is spiritually advanced and a person with a dark, murky aura is someone with unclear intentions. So if we know how to see and understand the aura, we know whom to befriend and whom to steer away from.

Also, by reading the aura it is possible to diagnose diseases even before symptoms become evident. If all doctors were trained to see the aura, it would be a boon to mankind.

How to read the Aura :
Preparation :
Find a place where you can practice undisturbed. Relax your mind by doing some deep-breathing exercises. Make sure the light in your room is neither too bright nor is it totally dark. A soft dim light is ideal. It is also important to have an open-minded attitude. The belief that you can see the aura will give you success faster.

Experiment 1 - See the aura around your hands :
The background color, against which you will practice viewing the aura, should be preferably black, white or gray.

Hold one of your hands out in front of you and gently spread your fingers. Your palm can either be towards you or away from you. Take a few deep breaths and relax. Now, here is the trick… look at your hand but keep your focus on the background. That is, you do not focus on your hand, but you look beyond, and gaze at the background.

I repeat, relax your gaze and don’t try too hard. Don’t look at your hand. Look at the background beyond your hand. Try not to blink. In a few moments, you will see a fuzzy haze around the fingers of your hand. It will be a kind of a glow surrounding your hands. The color is generally white, silver or gray. Congratulations! You have just seen your aura!

This haze will disappear if you focus on your hands, and re-appear if you focus on the background. You will soon learn to hold your attention so that you can see the aura for a longer time.

Experiment 2 - See the aura around your body :
With practice it will be very easy to look at the aura around your hands. Once you are good at it, you can try to look at the aura of your body. For this experiment, stand in front of a mirror. It is advisable that you are not wearing any clothes. Just like the previous experiment, have a dark or white background behind you.

Look at the mirror, and don’t focus on your body. Focus on the background. As you stare past your body, you will very quickly notice a fuzzy silver or gray outline surrounding your body. This is similar to the aura you saw around your hands. The aura will appear and disappear. You have to train your eyes not to revert to the normal focus. The trick is to stay de-focused. With practice you will see it quite prominently and it will stay for a longer time.

Experiment 3 : See the aura around other person’s body :
When you are good at seeing your own aura, you can train yourself to look at other people’s aura. The process is similar to looking at your own aura, but this time, you will be not be requiring any mirrors. The person will stand in front of a background, and you look beyond the person, and focus on the background. De-focus your eyes so that you can see his aura.

The layers of the aura :
If you venture to get deeper into the subject of Aura-reading, you will find more interesting facts about the aura.

You will see that the aura is made up of several layers. The first layer, called the Physical aura, starts from just above the surface of the skin and tells you about the physical well being of the person. The second layer, called the Mental aura tells you about the mental state of the person. The third, called the Spiritual aura gives you information about the spiritual advancement of the subject. All the three layers overlap each other. Together, they might extend up to 4-5 feet from the human body.

The common colors of the aura :
When you advance sufficiently, you will start to see and distinguish the various colors in the aura. The location of the color, the intensity, and the shade can tell a great deal about the subject. But it takes sufficient practice to understand and interpret the colors. Each color can tell you something about the subject.

The most common colors that can be seen are :
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, Black, Pink, White, Silver.

When we were infants, we all could see auras. Most children up to 3-4 years’ of age see auras naturally. If a child doesn’t like the color of the aura of a person, they start crying! If they like it, they smile and readily go into the arms of the person. As we grew, the materialistic world enslaved us. We forgot to use our innate abilities to see the aura.

I just flushed the same pill down the toilet for the third time since last Sunday. No lies. I flushed it the first time Monday evening. Tuesday night, or Wednesday, my mom picked it up off the floor and gave it to me. I took it that night and flushed it again. I just went into the bathroom a few moments ago, and the same pill was sitting on the sink. I looked at mom and said, “I swear I flushed it. Was there any water?” She shook her head.

This time, I made her watch me flush it. Twice it has appeared. My stepfather said it probably floats, with it being a lightweight capsule. It’s possible — but it doesn’t explain WHY the pill was outside the toilet, with the absence of a puddle of water. I looked around the bottom of our toilet, because it occasionally leaks. There’s no crevices big enough for a pill to fit through. Mom said the first time, she found it near the bathroom door. The second time, just tonight, she found it by the trashcan.

Hopefully, a logical explanation will pop up soon.
