The word clairvoyance with its associated words ‘clairaudience’ and ‘clairsentience’ comes from the 17th century French words - ‘Clair’ meaning clear and ‘Voyant’ means seeking. Clairvoyance is a sort of ‘Hypnotism’ according to the French.
The ability to perceive information without the use of the five known human senses is known as Clairvoyant. Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Clairsentience — are all forms of ESP or Psychic Ability to see, hear, and feel an object, circumstance or an event by paranormal means. Hundreds of unexplained events take place all around us everyday and in most cases meaningful explanation about the event comes from an unlikely source … Psychic Reading.
Types of Clairvoyance
There are basically four types of clairvoyance:
1.Psychological Clairvoyance
2.Spatial Clairvoyance
3.Astral Clairvoyance
4.True Spiritual Clairvoyance.
Psychological Clairvoyance
This is a term which we have invented ourselves to cover a certain type of clairvoyance. Most of us are very much familiar with those curious attractions and repulsions which we often feel for many people. There are some people whom we instinctively like or dislike, and for such a feeling, very often, we are unable to provide a valid reason. This is due to the perception of psychological clairvoyance. The psychological clairvoyance may also be termed as ‘psychic counseling’.
Spatial Clairvoyance
This type is also known as clairvoyance in space and time. Psychometry is in itself clairvoyance in time, using an object as a starting point and as a point of reference. Actually, this type can also be exercised without using an object, but concentration upon it helps to keep the clairvoyant faculty working within those limits. As we say, the object can be omitted and many people can exercise this clairvoyance in time without practically having any blank idea of what they are doing. Some people even find that, although they are not aware of possessing any psychic power, yet, when they are touching old furniture or antiques, dim pictures and emotions arises in their mind and automatically they become nostalgic. This dim clairvoyant perception is far more common than is generally realized.
Astral Clairvoyance
The next type of clairvoyance we have called ‘Astral Clairvoyance.’ By this we mean the perception of apparently living beings that have no physical body. The Devas or the ’shinning ones’, the ‘Lordly Ones’ of Celtic tradition, the Spirits of the elements; all live and have their being in the etheric and astral realms. You may see some of these entities as your clairvoyance begins to unfold, and their activities form a fascinating field of study for the clairvoyant investigator. It is in this field of clairvoyance that you need to exert great care, for you will be making contacts with living beings of many different types, and not all of them will be friendly. This great world of astral is also known as the World of Illusion.
True Spiritual Clairvoyance
We have now come to the last and final type of clairvoyance i.e. the Spiritual Clairvoyance. In the system of thought to which we give our allegiance, virtue, sanity and true spirituality lies within the purview of spiritual clairvoyance. At the end all life, all consciousness, all faculties, come from the Divine, but all work is manifest under immutable natural law.
For a layman who is in search for a psychic at times of crisis can never be in a state of mind to discriminate between a fake and a genuine psychic. On his/her part it will be wise not to disclose any personal information to the clairvoyant. It is best to ask the reader directly about personal relationship, finances, business, etc. If they are able to pick up on the correct situation quickly and impulsively, then it is known that he/she is a genuine psychic reader.

Psychic Reading - From Past To Present by Meg Tallon
For centuries there have been debates among our culture as to whether a psychic reading could be valid and actually give a glimpse into the past, present and future. Psychics and those who believe in the phenomenon insist that the average human only utilizes ten percent of their brain. The unused portions are from where a psychic’s “sixth sense” is drawn. Psychics also use a variety of instruments to bolster their visions into the future, such as tarot cards and numerology.
The claim that ninety percent of our brain power is unused cropped up during the late 19th century, and is no longer taken seriously by scientists. This claim may have come from misinterpretations of statements by William James, Albert Einstein, or other scientists of the day. However, many psychics, clairvoyants, and occult followers continue to believe this to the present day.
Scientific evidence of unused brain capabilities notwithstanding, psychics and their supporters underline a benefit of a psychic reading. The reading can be a tool for introspection and review of the past to understand it, as well as a guide in thinking forward to future plans. Many people with important decisions to make rely on trusted psychics for guidance. Celebrities and as high a level of decision-makers as American presidents and their spouses have looked at major decisions through the prism of psychic advice.
Although there are many male psychics, interestingly, the majority seem to be women. The reason for this may be that women in general have a natural inner instinctive sense, or what is commonly referred to as “women’s intuition”. The sensitive emotions such as empathy, compassion, and sympathy are more inherently natural in women and this may also be true of other mind sensitivities such as clairvoyance and visions.
There was a time where you could only get a psychic reading either on the telephone or at a psychic’s place of business. But with the advent of the Internet age, psychics are now available online 24 hours a day. Some websites offer services by phone or email, while others use online chat rooms where computer users from all locations can log on for a psychic chat online. These communication tools make it easy for customers to get psychic help privately.
Man has always looked for answers outside of the known to understand the unknown. He has searched the stars, the universe and the paranormal.
A psychic reading is often supported by the theory that we are using only 10% of the brain and, therefore, clairvoyance is available with the other 90% to explain the mysteries of life.

Most humans think we have only five senses, those of sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste. However, we have other abilities within ourselves that when worked on or ‘exercised’ we can develop in order to give us more senses to work with and therefore more information increasing our knowledge of our world.
There are a number of extra senses we can develop when we learn to use our innate ability that all of us possess. But what other information can we obtain?
We can learn to hear sounds or voices that aren’t heard by others. This is called Clairaudience. This is not related to people who are in mental institutions, but normal people who have extra ordinary ability. You may hear a child laughing while alone doing dishes and not being able to see anyone outside in the yard or across the street. But when your son comes home and tells you he was over his friends house three blocks away and relates a funny story that everyone started to laugh at, then it may become clear to you that you heard something that the normal sense of hearing would not be able to.
Sometimes the sense of smell kicks in big time with the ability of clairsentience or the idea of some smell or touch that might go along with some other kind of general psychic impression. Clairvoyance is a word most everyone knows in that is the ability to know about events or objects without using any of the normal senses. It can at times also mean getting impressions of future events, but is usually reserved for the present here and now time frame. Generally this is in the form of mental picture, sometimes like a video with the attendant emotional and other feelings attached to it. In our mundane lives, we often use several of our so-called normal senses together with other senses so there is no reason to expect that the same can’t be true with ESP abilities.
In workings or some activity you may want to use a tool to get more information, which can aid ESP. A pendulum may be used to find a place on a map to locate someone or something or to receive an answer, generally in the form of a yes or no.
Precognition is seeing into the future again without using any of the normal senses.
Retro cognition is the opposite of precognition in that with retro cognition you are peering into a past event.
In developing ESP, one of the things we must do is to drown out the constant chatter in our minds, all of them including thoughts, sound, feelings etc, so we need to learn how to calm the mind down. One way to focus your mind in an attempt to ferret out what other kinds of information you can get, get a book with pictures taken preferable of areas far away or very ancient ruins. Focus in on the picture for a moment or two. Notice everything in the picture. Then while concentrating on the picture pay attention to any other perceptions that scoot across your mind. You may hear music or even hear people if the picture is of a gathering place.
Another way of developing ESP is to clear a table, like a coffee or end table. Take you hand and hover it above the table, then take the hand and hover it off the table’s edge. Note the kind of feelings you get. Do this several times then once you can tell the difference in feelings when your hand is over the table and when the hand is off the table, close your eyes and see if you can tell the difference when one of you normal senses are closed.
There are a number of ways of working with your mind. It takes dedication and practice and an open mind, but the rewards are priceless.

We possess, but do not know it, limitless Power. This Power is of the Spirit, and it is unconquerable. This Power can be Felt - Through and Through! It is not the power of the ordinary life, or finite will, or human mind. It transcends these, because, being spiritual, it is of a higher order than either physical or even mental. This Power lies dormant, and is hidden within until we are sufficiently evolved and unfolded to be entrusted with its use.
Now - Thought is a spiritual power of tremendous potency, but this is not the power of which we speak. By thought, man can either raise himself up and connect himself with the “Power House” of the Universe, or cut himself off entirely from the Divine Inflow. His thought is his greatest weapon, because, by it he can either draw on the Infinite or sever himself (in consciousness, but not in reality) from his Divine Source - and Inspiration.
Through the Divine Spark within him, which is really his real Self, man ( and Woman ) is connected with the Infinite. Divine Life and Power are his, if he _realizes_ that they are his. So long as he is ignorant of his oneness with the Divine Source of all life, he is incapable of appropriating the power that is really his. If, however, he enters into this inner knowledge, he finds himself the possessor of infinite power and unlimited resources.
This Power, then, is of the Higher Power, yet it is also man’s, but it is not revealed to him until he is fit to be entrusted with it. It is only when man realizes his oneness with his Divine Source that he becomes filled with Its power. Many teachers and initiates lament the fact that certain secrets are being spread broadcast to-day; secrets that, in the past, were kept closely guarded. They fear that unillumined and un-evolved people may make destructive use of spiritual power. This, to the writer, appears to be improbable.
It is true that strong personalities, who have a great belief in their own power to achieve and succeed, draw unconsciously on hidden powers, and thus are able to raise themselves high above their fellows. The use, however, that they can make of spiritual power for base purposes is limited, and is not to be feared. There are others, of course, who are misusing their powers. These are black magicians, and while they may do a certain amount of harm, they become reduced, ultimately, to beggary and impotence. There are also others who spend the whole of their spare time searching for knowledge of this very subject. They read every occult book they can lay hands on, but they never find that for which they seek. There are spiritual powers and influences that withhold the eyes of the seekers from seeing, until they are ready
for the revelation. When man, in his search for Truth, has given up all selfish striving after unworthy things, and has ceased to use his self-will in conflict with the greater Will of the Whole, he is ready for the revelation of his oneness with the Infinite. Yielding implicitly to the Will of the Whole may seem, to the unillumined, an act of weakness, yet it is the entrance to a life of almost boundless power.
We are not separate from Our Divine Source and never have been. We are, in reality, one with the Infinite. The separation which one feels and experiences is mental, and is due to his blindness and unbelief.
Man can never be separated from Spirit, for he himself is Spirit. He is an integral part of one complete whole. He lives and moves and has his being in The Higher Power (Universal, Omnipresent Spirit), and God (Spirit) dwells in him. The majority of people are unaware of this intimate relationship with the Divine, and, because they are unaware, or because they refuse to believe it, they are, in one sense, separated from the inner life of The Higher Power. Yet this separation is only in their thoughts and beliefs, and not in reality. Man is not separated and never can be, yet so long as he believes that he is separate and
alone, he will be as weak and helpless as though he actually were.
As soon as man realizes the truth of his relationship to the Infinite, he passes from weakness to power, from death unto life. One moment he is in the desert, afar off, weak, separate, and alone; the next, he realizes that he is nothing less than a son or daughter of God, with all a son’s privileges and powers. He realizes, in a flash, that he is one with his Divine Source, and that he can never be separated. He awakens also to the fact that all the Power of the Infinite is his to draw upon; that he can never really fail, that he is marching on to victory.
It will thus be seen how great is the power of man’s thought. While thought is not the power of the Spirit, it is the power by which man either connects himself up with the Infinite Power, opening himself to the Divine Inflow, or cuts himself off and separates himself from his Spiritual Source. Thus, in a sense, man is what he thinks he is.
If he thinks he is separate from The Divine and cut off from His Power, then it is as though this were really the case, and he is just as impotent and miserable as though he actually existed apart from The Infinite. On the other hand, if he thinks and believes that he is one with the Infinite, he finds that it is gloriously true, and that he is really a son of God. If he believes and thinks that he is a mere material being, then he lives the limited life of a material being, and is never able to rise above it. But if, on the contrary, he thinks and believes that he is a spiritual being, then he finds that he possesses
all the powers of a spiritual being.
Again, if he thinks that his work is difficult and that he is not equal to his tasks, he finds that really his tasks are difficult and beyond his powers. Yet on the other hand, if he believes his work is easy, or, at any rate, within his powers, he finds that such is the case, and that he can do his work with ease.
The power within is infinite, for, by faith in it, man is directly “coupled up” with the Spiritual Power of the Universe. The Divine Spark within him connects him to the Sacred Flame, thus making him potentially a god in the making.
A change then, must take place within man before he can enter into his Divine inheritance. He must learn to think after the Spirit, _i.e._, as a spiritual being, instead of after the flesh, _i.e._, as a material creature. Like the prodigal son he must “come to himself,” and leave the husks and the swine in the far country, returning to his Father’s house, where there is bread (of life) enough and to spare.

Psychic Detectives
By Kristy Annely
A psychic detective uses psychic power to solve mysteries. This so-called psychic power is the ability to use one’s intuition along with the help of a higher power or source of energy to know about things that most others can’t see or feel. Psychic power allows a person to predict or recognize the past and understand clearly what has happened. This ability is possessed by a very few people and these people, also known as psychics are being sought out by come law enforcement agencies to clear unsolved mysteries and solve crimes.
The police use psychic detectives to assist them in difficult cases such as kidnapping or murder, when a stalemate is perceived. The first official use of a psychic to solve a crime can be dated back to 1845. Psychics are allegedly able to locate missing people or recognize a person who has committed a crime. They use techniques like psychometrics (understanding a person by touching the person or an object that belongs to the person), telepathy (mentally communicating with a person), numerology (psychic reading using numbers like date of birth) or dowsing (looking for hidden things by waving a stick or any other apparatus near the ground) and others.
General psychic abilities include clairvoyance or seeing pictures, visions, and images via a sixth sense and clairaudience, hearing thoughts of the living and the spirit realm in the form of voices, sounds or music. Clairsentience is the ability to sense information through smell, touch, taste and other physical sensations.
Psychic detectives use intuition and reasoning abilities for solving crimes. However, there is criticism of psychic detectives. Many police departments are skeptical of the supernatural and won’t employ psychics. To date, there is no documented evidence of a case being solved with the help of a psychic detective.
Psychics provides detailed information about psychics, psychic readings, psychic medium, psychic healing and more. Psychics is the sister site of Phone Psychics.
